Can I vote?
(Eligibility)
If you are 18+, have a permanent address in Denmark, and you’re either a Danish, EU, Icelandic, Norwegian or UK citizen — or you’ve lived in Denmark for 4 consecutive years (any other nationality) — then yes, you can vote in local (municipal) and regional elections.

To vote in Kolding’s municipal and the regional elections you must:

be 18 years or older, and
-
permanently reside in Denmark (registered at an address), and

one of the following applies to you:

you are a Danish citizen, or
-
you are a citizen of an EU Member State, Iceland, Norway or the United Kingdom, or
-
you have lived in Denmark for at least 4 years without interruption (any other nationality).

Your address & registration
If you meet the conditions and are registered at your current address in Kolding, you are automatically added to the electoral roll — you do not need to apply. (Make sure your CPR address is up to date.)
Cut-off for eligibility: Most eligibility conditions must be met by the Friday 46 days before election day (for KV/Regionsvalget 2025 that date is Friday 3 October 2025). The age requirement and the 4-year residence requirement can be completed by election day itself.

Election Day: Tuesday 18 November 2025.
Advance (early) voting in Denmark: From Tuesday 7 October until Friday 14 November 2025. You can vote early in any municipality; check addresses/opening hours on your municipality’s website.
Advance voting from abroad: From Tuesday 19 August 2025 at Danish embassies/consulates and certain Danish installations.
