Local Election
in Kolding
Kolding welcomes many international residents. We believe that Kolding should be a place where everyone from all over the world can feel welcome.
Unfortunately that is not the case, as many internationals have a hard time fitting in, finding a job and most don’t participate in their local communities through local politics or other activities.

Our key policies for a more international Kolding
A more welcoming Kolding
Kolding must become more attractive to international citizens. With better newcomer services and closer interaction between student life, associations and businesses, we can help more people get a good start, strengthen unity and well-being, so that everyone feels like a valued part of the local community.
International inclusion and labour
Skilled international employees are a strength for Kolding’s businesses. But integration is difficult for many, on the job market as well as in the community. We must become better at opening our doors – both as businesses and as a city – so that international workers feel welcome, valued and a natural part of the local community.
Integration – both ways
Integration must be a two-way movement, where both new and old residents meet each other at the same level. Municipal services must be available in Danish and English, so that everyone can use them from day one.
Jobs and equal opportunities
More people working, requires bridges between companies and new talents – and fewer barriers to get your first job in Denmark. We want to strengthen inclusive recruitment and help international entrepreneurs get off to a good start with advice and networking.
